STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Stratford man is in jail after police seized several handguns, crack cocaine, marijuana, and over $16,000 from his home.
After a month of investigating drug activity in Stratford, police obtained an search warrant for an apartment on Beachwood Avenue.
Inside the home, police found three handguns, several rounds of ammunition, $16,078 in cash, 105.5 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 45.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 1.5 grams of suspected marijuana, 20 Oxycontin pills, and several items of suspected packaging materials.
Police also seized a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica SUV and a 2004 Yamaha Jet-Ski.
As a result, officers arrested Manolo Ortiz-Granell, 29. He faces charges that include possession of drug paraphernalia in drug factory, fugitive from justice, three counts of criminal possession firearm and two counts of risk of injury.
Police determined Ortiz-Granell had an outstanding warrant out of New York on narcotics charges.
He was placed in lockup after he was unable to post a $500,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 13.
