NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- A teenage girl and a Taftville man were arrested after police seized 60 bags of heroin Wednesday.
The arrests came as the result of a five month investigation, which began after police received numerous citizen complaints about narcotic dealing.
Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, the 17-year-old girl was arrested as she exited a residence in Taftville with 40 bags of alleged heroin.
Police then executed a search warrant at 56 1/2 South B St., in Taftville, where an additional 20 bags of heroin were discovered.
The 17-year-old girl was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, and possession of heroin with intent to sell within 1,500' of a school.
She was also charged on a warrant for first-degree failure to appear, stemming from an earlier narcotics arrest.
She was held on a $5,000 bond.
Jason P. Brulotte, 33, of 56 1/2 South B St., was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of heroin with intent to sell within 1,500' of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
