Cromwell gas station robbed at gunpoint

Cromwell, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Cromwell gas station Tuesday night.

The robbery took place around 8 p.m., at Cromwell Sunoco, located at 164 West St.

The attendant told police that a man had entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 20 and 25 years old, 5'2" tall, with a thin build, wearing all black clothing, including a black hoodie pulled tight around his face.

An undetermined amount of cash was taken by the suspect who fled the area on foot.

The attendant was uninjured during the incident.
