Deadly shooting in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man was shot and killed in a car Saturday night, police say.

At 9:46 p.m. Saturday, police received a call that a man was shot outside of 430 Hollister Avenue.

When officers arrived, the man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Medics were rushed to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead when they arrived.

The Connecticut Post identified the man as Anthony Williams, 30.

His death marks the city's eleventh homicide of the year.
