EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- An East Hartford doctor has been arrested again for sexual assault charges.

Dr. Edwin Njoku, 51, was arrested for criminal attempt to commit first-degree sexual assault with a court set bond of $250,000, two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault with a court set bond of $100,000 for each count, and second-degree larceny by defrauding a public community with a court set bond of $5,000.

Police said the sexual assault charges involve three separate victims, and investigations that occurred at the Christus Medical Group, located at 589 Burnside Ave.

"It's mind boggling, very mind boggling.  I just heard about it.  We just moved out here a couple of weeks ago," Ashley Pedraza told News 8.

Njoku was able to post bail, but when News 8's Marc Robbins tried to speak to him at his home, no one answered the door, and a woman came to the front window on the second floor saying he wasn't home.

"For a professional person to actually present himself and take advantage of that.  That's pretty shameful.   I hope they give him a good sentence," said Herboto Soto.

Njoku is scheduled to appear in court on May 16th in Manchester.
