WOODBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- An employee at Robert Motorcars in Woodbury has been arrested after police say he admitted to planning a robbery at the business.
The robbery was reported at 7:12 p.m. on September 12 at the business located at 592 Main Street.
Donald Taylor, 19, told police that he was taking out the trash when a man with a handgun ordered him to fill a bag with money from the register. Taylor placed about $1,300 in the bag and the suspect ran away.
The suspect, a juvenile, was arrested that same night.
Officers determined there were inconsistencies in Taylor's report and after further questioning, police say he admitted to planning the robbery.
Taylor turned himself into police on Wednesday. He was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery first degree, conspiracy to commit burglary first degree, conspiracy to commit larceny second degree, criminal liability for robbery first degree, criminal liability for burglary first degree and criminal liability for larceny second degree.
He was held on a $25,000 bond and is to appear in court on Thursday.
