NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people were shot following what police are calling a family dispute.
Shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, police received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area of 538 South Main Street. One caller reported a gunshot victim.
When police arrived on scene, they say that a 31-year-old man was shot in the foot and a 26-year-old man had been shot in the calf. Neither party sustained life-threatening injuries.
The shooter was identified as Francisco Tellado, 36. He fled the scene, but police located him a short time later at his residence in Waterbury and took him into custody.
Police say that the early stages of the investigation point towards the incident being an isolated family dispute. Both victims are relatives to the accused shooter.
Tellado was arrested and police are continuing their investigation.
