WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are searching for a suspect or suspects who broke into a Westport home and stole a car Sunday morning.
Just after 6 a.m., Westport police received a call from a resident of Devon Road who reported that someone had entered their home during the night and burglarized it.
Police said sometime between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., a person or multiple people entered the home through an unlocked back door and stole a woman's purse and an HP laptop computer.
The purse was discovered outside the home, and a set of car keys and $25 cash had been taken from it.
Police said a grey Honda Civic, four door sedan, with the Connecticut registration 561YVT was stolen from the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to contact the Westport Police Department at 203-341-6082. Anyone who sees the grey Honda Civic with license plate 561YVT should dial 911 or call their local police department.
