Greenwich, Conn. (WTNH) - A Greenwich police officer has been put on administrative leave, facing stalking and harassment charges.

Police say a Greenwich woman who had been dating Officer Donnel Fludd, came forward in November claiming their relationship had "deteriorated to a possible criminal level."

The allegation was investigated and Fludd was arrested on Monday.

Fludd is facing charges of second-degree stalking, second-degree harassment, and disorderly conduct.

According to the Greenwich Time , Fludd, a former All-American tight end with West Virginia Wesleyan College, and fellow officer Vincent O'Banner started a successful community flag football league in 2006. [Read more here]

A separate internal investigation is also underway.
