Greenwich police investigate home invasion

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- Greenwich police are investigating a home invasion.

The incident happened at a home on Round Hill Road on Tuesday.

Police say a woman was home alone when two people entered her house. The woman told police their faces were concealed and they had a handgun.

The woman was struck and then restrained while the pair stole jewelry from her home.

She was not seriously injured.

Police say there was another reported burglary attempt in the same area earlier in the same day. It's not clear if the two cases are related.

Anyone with information is urged to call Greenwich police.
