GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) — A Greenwich woman is accused of biting a police lieutenant who was trying to take her into custody following a domestic disturbance at a local hotel.
Police tell the Greenwich Time that 40-year-old Ilona Pasternak also scratched and spit on officers Saturday at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich.
Police say the woman attacked them as they were trying to break up a fight between her and a man identified as her boyfriend.
Police say that as they were putting Pasternak into a patrol car, she bit the arm of Lt. Daniel Allen, opening two puncture wounds.
She faces several charges including assault on a police officer and is due in Superior Court on Aug. 6. There was no answer Tuesday morning at a phone number listed for Pasternak.
