The search for a missing Guilford girl, found in Pennsylvania, is over. Now, the question is why her father may have taken her in the first place

When Guilford Police announced they were searching for 5-year-old Emily Witz and her father, 39-year-old William Witz, there was instantly an air of concern.

William left his Guilford home with Emily early Friday morning and started heading south. After Emily's mother learned of the journey through her ex-husband Neil Fitzpatrick, who also lives in the house, she called the Guilford Police Department.

Guilford Police then did a little investigating and learned Witz was possibly heading down to Essington, Penn. to a family member's house.

Authorities finally got a hold of Witz through the phone. They learned the young girl was with her father and she was safe and, indeed, was going to a family members home.

"There in good health, everything is fine, there seems to be a lot of miss-communication among the family," a Guilford officer said.
