HADDAM, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a Haddam bank robbery.
The robbery happened just before 10 a.m., at Liberty Bank, located at 116 Bridge St., in the Tylerville section of Haddam.
Upon arrival, police determined that a lone white male, approximately 5'3" with a stocky build wearing a blue denim jacket, blue jeans, and a tan baseball hat, entered the bank and demanded money.
The suspect was described as having short salt/pepper hair and a mustache, and had his face covered with a black scarf.
According to police, no weapon was displayed during the robbery.
The suspect put the money in a black plastic bag that he brought into the bank with him and fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction.
Police recovered evidence from the crime scene and interviewed witnesses.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area of the robbery and saw anything suspicious, or anyone who may recognize the suspect in the surveillance photos to contact State Police at 860 399-2100.
