Hamden, Conn. (WTNH) - A Hamden man was arrested after police found him to be in possession of large amounts of fireworks paraphernalia.
On Wednesday, Hamden Police responded to 7 Mates Rd., after receiving a complaint of illegal possession of commercial grade fireworks and illegal selling of fireworks at that address.
With help from the Hamden Fire Department, the detective bureau, the FBI and the State Police Bomb Squad, the home was found to have large amounts of explosive powders and mortar tubes for the purpose of making fireworks.
Kenneth Lupoli, 49, was charged with illegally manufacturing and possessing fireworks, reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor.
Lupoli was released on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on February 23rd.
