HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are looking for a suspect following an early morning shooting on Garden Street in Hartford.
Officers were sent to Garden Street just after midnight to investigate reports that a man had been shot.
They found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds to his left torso between the front porches of 394 and 396 Garden Street.
He was immediately transported to St. Francis Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Police are withholding the man's identity at this time.
Witnesses told police that the shooter ran away after the shooting. They described him as a thin black male wearing a royal blue t-shirt.
The major crimes unit is investigating the shooting.
