NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two men accused of an armed home invasion in Norwich appeared in court Friday.
Norwich police said James Alston, 31, and John Factura, 23, broke into a Franklin St. apartment in August, and held the residents at gunpoint.
Police said two couples lived there and both were in their bedrooms when suspects stormed in.
"They need to be put away," said Susan Bogan, of Norwich. "Get these people off the street because we have a lot of kids around here."
None of the victims were injured, but cash and jewelry were stolen, totaling more than nine-thousand dollars.
Police said the two suspects were seen running across the street after the robbery and got into a car parked at the corner of Boswell Ave and took off.
Police said the driver of the car was given a watch for a reward, but returned it to one of the victims when she found out his wife was pregnant when the suspects busted in.
News 8 talked to folks in the neighborhood and found out both couples moved from the home and didn't come to court.
"Night time is bad. It's night time you see all these people trying to go into people's backyard and snooping around, and that's scary too," Bogan said.
Alston and Factura were both charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree larceny.
Police expect more arrests to be made.
