Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) - Police say they have arrested the man responsible for a Hartford homicide that a girl witnessed on her eleventh birthday.
20-year-old Traistyn George turned himself into police on Feb. 21.
Police say he was wanted in connection with a Feb. 10 homicide that happened in front of 366 Maple Avenue.
"We had been searching for George since Major Crimes Division Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for him on February 15, 2012, charging him with Murder and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. A judge set bond of $1 million was issued with the warrant," said Chief Rovella. "George remains in custody pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court."
George was been involved in a large fight outside the home, but when police arrived, they found two men on the ground suffering from stab wounds.
21-year-old Kevin Rodriguez was transported to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other victim was admitted to the hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery.
