Danbury, Conn. (AP) - An 85-year-old man charged with shooting a nurse in a Connecticut hospital has been arraigned in his hospital bed.

Danbury police Capt. Thomas Wendel said a judge and court officials held the proceedings Thursday in Stanley Lupienski's room in Danbury Hospital.

Lupienski was scheduled to be moved Friday to an unspecified corrections facility unless he posts $250,000 bond.

Police say Lupienski was shot in the leg Tuesday as 35-year-old nursing supervisor Andy Hull struggled to get the gun from him. Hull was shot three times and remained hospitalized Friday.

Lupienski is charged with assault, reckless endangerment and weapons offenses. He is due in court April 7 to enter a plea. It was unclear Friday whether he had an attorney.
