New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) -- New Haven police are trying to determine how an prisoner escaped from a correctional facility.
20-year-old Richard Briggs was able to escape from Project More at 830 Grand Avenue on Thursday, April 12. Police say he was scheduled to appear in court the next day.
He was found a short while later at Chapel and State Street. He was charged with first degree escape from a correctional facility.
It is not known what Briggs was charged with.
