Sentencing in 2008 double killings

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — A New Britain man is set to learn his sentence for the 2008 killings of two men whose bodies were dumped along Interstate 384.

Thirty-three-year-old Jokshan Bryant is to be sentenced Tuesday in New Britain Superior Court on two counts of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm. He could receive up to 40 years in prison on each count.

Bryant pleaded guilty in April to the charges. He had faced capital felony and murder charges in the deaths of 42-year-old Ronald Brown of Bristol and 37-year-old Eric Kimberly of Torrington.

Prosecutors said Bryant and Brown were romantically involved with the same woman.

Brown and Kimberly were killed in New Britain, and their bodies dumped along the highway in Manchester and Bolton.

Another man, Steven Manocchio of Bristol, awaits trial on murder charges.
