DANIELSON, Conn. (AP) - Jury selection has begun for a rare murder trial in northeastern Connecticut, where a man is charged with killing his 38-year-old former girlfriend in Pomfret.
A prosecutor and defense lawyer began choosing jurors this week in Danielson Superior Court in the case of 48-year-old Timothy Quail of New London.
Quail is accused of stabbing Robin Cloutier to death at her home in December 2009. Her father found her body when he went to check on her after she failed to pick up her children from school.
Quail has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Quail has a lengthy criminal history that includes convictions for third-degree sexual assault, burglary and failure to register as a sex offender.
