CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police arrested a man after he accidentally shot a friend in the chin area.
Police responded to a 911 call from a frantic person who said he shot a man at 39 Woodbridge Lane. The caller said the victim left the area in a car, police said.
Upon arrival officers found the caller, Emzy Baker IV, alone at the residence.
Police said the victim was found at Middlesex Hospital receiving medical treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his chin area.
A Colt 357 revolver was seized by police.
Investigation determined that Baker accidentally shot the friend who had been visiting.
Baker, 50, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Bond was set at $5,000 and a court date was set for Feb. 12.
