Man accused of sex assault turns himself in

SUFFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man accused of sex assault turned himself in on an active arrest warrant Saturday.
Suffield police said 42-year-old Wayne C. Szczepanik, of 9 Fenton Dr., Southwick, MA., was reported to have sexually assaulted a Suffield resident on the night of April 10th.
Following a month long investigation, an arrest warrant was issued charging him with first-degree sexual assault.
Szczepanik was processed and released on a $100,000 surety bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on May 22nd.
