Man arrested after fireworks hurt daughter

    Prospect, Conn. (WTNH) - State police arrested a Prospect man Monday whose daughter was hurt when he set off an M-80.

    Police say James Ruddy's daughter -- a minor -- was hit by shrapnel.

    She was taken to the hospital, but we don't know how serious are her injuries.

    Ruddy was charged with risk of injury to a minor, reckless endangerment and illegal possession of explosives.

    He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
