WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A West Haven man was arrested after parents complained he was chasing their daughters.
The parents identified 55-year-old Reinaldo Ortiz as the man who was chasing their daughters, all under the age of 13.
It all happened outside Ortiz's apartment building at 278 Main Street in West Haven on Tuesday, April 24. Witnesses say he hid behind a dumpster behind the building and then as the girls passed by, he jumped out and chased them.
Ortiz told police he was just trying to have fun with the girls.
He was arrested and charged with second degree breach of peace and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.
Ortiz is currently on probation for unrelated charges.
