Berlin, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Berlin man was arrested after firing a gun at police officers.
On March 8, police say they were called to 18 Peck Street in Berlin. A man called after an argument with his nephew, 45-year-old Jeffrey Yeaw, turned physical.
When officers arrived, Yeaw fired shots at them . Officers drew their weapons and fired back, striking Yeaw. He was transported to Hartford Hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.
After healing from his injury, Yeaw was arrested. He was held on a $1,000,000 bond and arraigned at Superior Court in New Britain. He is currently incarcerated at Garner Correctional in Newtown.
Yeaw was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, criminal attempt to commit assault, reckless endangerment, criminal attempt to commit assault pubic safety personnel; unlawful discharge of a firearm; interfering with an officer; unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.
