NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)-- A man attempting to burglarize a home was arrested Sunday evening in New Haven.
Two officers and the police canine responded to 172 Bassett Street, after a neighbor reported she saw a man kicking in the back door and entering the home.
Police say when they arrived, they found Dwayne Randolph, 42, of Hamden, running through the house toward the front door. However, when he noticed that an officer was waiting by the door, he ran back into the house, upstairs.
Randolph then surrendered when he was told the police dog would come get him.
