WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Hartford man was arrested and charged with 4 separate burglaries.
On Nov. 16, officials responded to a report of a male dressed in black, who was seen walking through the backyard of 16 Claredon Ave. after rummaging through an unlocked car in the driveway.
The State Police also received a report of a black male, dressed in black clothing, crossing I-84 in the direction of Kane Street.
Officers responded and recognized the male as Herman Alexander, a known car burlgar, police reported.
A GPS and other items were found in his possession.
Alexander, of 30 Evergreen Ave. Apt. 207 in Hartford, was charged in connection to 4 burlgaries.
The West Hartford Police Dept. had an active arrest warrant for Alexander and there were also 4 outstanding PRAWN warrants, 2 from Hartford Police and 2 from West Hartford Police. Those charges included credit card theft, burlgary and illegal use of a credit card.
Alexander was held on a $70,000 court set bond and a court date was set for Monday morning.
The West Hartford Police has arrested Alexander 12 times since 2007 for similar incidents.
