NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- New London Police arrested a man for shooting at a sailboat that had broken loose from its mooring and washed ashore, hitting an occupied house.
On Tuesday around 5:00 p.m. police were notified about a man shooting at a sailboat on Pequot Ave.
When officers arrived, they saw Shane Carrier, 31, fleeing in his car.
He was taken into custody and was in possession of two shotguns and a loaded rifle.
Carrier was charged with Unlawful Discharged of a Firearm, Loaded Rifle in a Vehicle, Weapons in a Motor Vehicle, Interfering with Police, and Breach of Peace.
He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
No one was injured, but the sailboat and house sustained a lot of damage.
