WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- West Haven Police arrested a 25-year-old for stealing objects and tampering with cars.
On Nov. 11 around 6:30 a.m. officers were called to the area of Cherry Street and Platt Ave for a white male that was tampering with cars parked on the street.
Upon arrival, officers found Nickolas Oslund of 161 Campbell Avenue. Oslund had a four inch edge knife in his pocket, a woman's purse and a duffel bag with someone's name printed on the outside.
Inside the purse was a female's license, credit cards and cash. The duffel bag had GPS units, credit cards, sunglasses, multiple tools, jackets and keys, police said.
The items found were matched to seven complaints of theft from cars that happened over night.
