SIMSBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Weatogue man was arrested Friday for waving a toy rifle around in public.
The incident occurred on Canal St.
Police responded to the scene after receiving a report that someone was waving a gun outside their vehicle.
When officers arrived, they located the individual, 35-year-old Steven Howes, who was in possession of a toy plastic rifle.
The toy gun was seized and Howes was arrested.
Howes, of 52 Canal St., was charged with breach of peace.
He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 13th.
