WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)-- Police arrested a man for breaking into cars in West Hartford on Tuesday.
Police say Samuel Diaz,19, of Hartford, was hiding behind some trees, when officers responded to a report of a man breaking into cars along South Quaker Lane, in the area of Nutmeg Court.
Officers say Diaz attempted to run, then resisted when caught and had to be tazered to be taken into custody.
Another man was seen exiting a Mercedes on Ginger Drive, but when police approached him, the man took off running.
Diaz was charged with four counts of conspiracy to burglary, three counts of criminal attempt burglary, larceny and interfering with an officer.
Other car break-ins nearby on Fenwood Avenue and Almeda Avenue were attributed to Diaz, which resulted in further charges.
Diaz is being held on $20,000 bond.
