NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A New Haven man barricaded himself inside his home when police arrived to serve an arrest warrant Thursday afternoon.
Just before 5 p.m., police received information that 33-year-old Laquan Scott had an outstanding warrant for a felony assault. The warrant charges Scott with pistol-whipping a woman.
The information also revealed that Scott was in an apartment at 239 Barnes Ave.

Since the crime on his outstanding warrant involved a gun, police activated Hostage Negotiations and SWAT teams.
After a brief negotiation, Scott came out and was taken into custody.
