HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A New Haven man was arrested for robbing a donation bin at a Salvation Army.
Early Wednesday morning Officer Robert Manfield saw suspicious activity in the parking lot of the Salvation Army on Dixwell Avenue.
Officer Manfield went to the front of the store and saw an individual with the upper half of their body inside the donation bin, police said.
The individual, later identified as Michael Rossamondo, emerged from the bin with a hair dryer and was subsequently arrested, police reported.
Rossamondo, 51, of 583 Columbus Ave., was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.
Rossamondo is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on Oct 22.
