KILLINGLY, Conn. (AP) — A Killingly man has been charged with assault and manslaughter in the 2010 death of his infant son.
State police say 36-year-old Logan Parker was arrested at his home on Thursday.
His 4-month-old son, Reed, died a day after he was hospitalized in distress on July 23, 2010.
Investigators say dispatchers received at 911 hang-up call from Parker's residence that day. When they called back, Parker said his son was having difficulty breathing and barely awake.
The boy's death was ruled a homicide. The warrant for Parker's death followed an investigation by state police, the Department of Children and Families and other agencies.
Parker was held on $250,000 bond. A phone message left at his family's residence was not immediately returned.
