Man charged in Naugatuck home invasion

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Naugatuck man was charged in connection to a home invasion on Jan. 1.
Bridgeport Police Dept. was holding Jose Navarro, 29, of 108 Lorann Drive, on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck.
Navarro was transported to Naugatuck PD for processing.
The warrant was for an assault report on Jan. 1.
Navarro allegedly entered the victim's home and hit him multiple times with a glass bottle. The victim sustained a contusion, laceration, scratches and swelling to his fave. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment.
Navarro was charged with home invasion and second-degree assault.
He was held on a $100,000 bond and was set to appear in court on Monday Jan. 14 at Waterbury Superior Court.
