Female suspect driving getaway car still sought

Police say they have charged a New Haven man with attempted robbery and assault following a shooting in Ansonia.

The incident happened November 16th at the Olson Drive apartment complex. The victim, Tyrease Gatison, was shot in the leg.

Jamar Perry, 28, was arrested November 19th in New Haven.

Shelton's Police Chief, Kevin J. Hale said, "Detectives from this department have been working diligently on this investigation from the beginning and were able to quickly identify a suspect with the cooperation of the witnesses and residents of the Olson Drive Housing Complex along with our partnerships with other law enforcement agencies. This is a prime example of what can be achieved when law enforcement and the community work together to solve a crime."

Police also say that a woman was driving the getaway car the day of the shooting. She has not been arrested yet.
