PROSPECT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man was arrested after police found homemade pipe bombs inside his Prospect home.
37-year-old Eric Russell was arrested on May 23 after police found three homemade pipe bombs inside his home on Straitsville Road in Prospect.
A person called police after they claimed Russell approached them at the Prospect Mobil Gas Station and tried to sell a homemade pipe bomb. Russell gave the person his name and address and said he had more devices at home.
When police arrived, Russell admitted to having the devices inside his bedroom and consented to a search.
He was arrested and charged with manufacturing of bombs and illegal possession of explosives. He was released on a$25,000 cash-surety bond.
