STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Waterbury man has been charged with first degree robbery after police say he robbed a Stamford Citizen's Bank.
The bank located at 1 Atlantic Street was robbed on Friday, August 31.
The teller told police a light-skinned black man entered the bank around 9:37 a.m. and handed the teller a note which indicated he had two bombs and demanded money. The man walked out with $1,000 in cash and headed towards Broad Street.
On Wednesday, police arrested 37-year-old Corey Midgette of Waterbury for the robbery.
Midgette was charged with first degree robbery and was held on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
