Man charged with sex asasult on girl

NORWALK, Conn. (Stamford Advocate) -- A 37-year-old man was arrested Saturday and charged with sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 2004, police said.

Lionel Chavarria of Norwalk was charged with three counts each of first-degree sex assault and risk of injury to a minor and was held on $50,000 bond.

Sgt. Lisa Cotto said police are still investigating whether or not Chavarria had contact with another juvenile at around the same time.
