Man charged with stealing diamond ring

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- An exterminator was arrested after a client accused him of stealing a diamond ring worth over $10,000.

The victim told police 39-year-old George Lawrence, an employee at Pest Elimination, was working inside her Greenwich home on December 29, 2010 when he stole the ring.

Lawrence turned himself into Greenwich police on Tuesday, May 15.

Lawrence was charged with first degree larceny. He was released after posting a surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 22.
