Man commits hate crime against Muslim

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man was arrested after he threatened to punch a Muslim woman because of her heritage, police said.

Police say that Michael Germain made the threat against the victim at Walgreens at 324 North Main Street on Saturday.

Germain was arrested and charged with committing a hate crime. His court date is set for September 27th.
