DERBY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating an early morning homicide that took place outside a Derby cafe Saturday.
Around 2 a.m., police responded to the parking lot of RJ's Cafe, located at 148 Elizabeth St., on a report of gun shots.
Upon arrival, police found 22-year-old Javon Zimmerman, suffering from several gun shot wounds.
Zimmerman was taken to Griffin Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is under investigation.
