DANBURY, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting another man in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Danbury during the busy holiday shopping season in December.

The News-Times of Danbury reports  31-year-old Donte Hall of Danbury was sentenced Thursday in Superior Court after pleading guilty to assault and reckless endangerment charges. The victim was treated at a hospital for a bullet wound to his back and discharged.

The shooting happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Dec. 21. Several cars also were struck by bullets.

Police said at the time that Hall and the victim apparently argued over a woman, who was with Hall that night. The woman, 21-year-old Karli Hill of Danbury, arrested on conspiracy charges she denies.
