Man in court for poisoning boss's oatmeal

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- A former Waterbury Parks Department worker was in court Wednesday answering to charges that he tried to poison his boss.

Police say William Lampron laced his boss's oatmeal with a chemical that's used to soak up spills on highways.

The alleged crime happened after an argument about his job performance.
     
Lampron has resigned from his position.
