Man in critical condition after throat slashing

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man is in critical condition after having his throat slashed in Hartford Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m., in the area of 150 Nelson St.
Upon arrival police were able to obtain the suspect's name from the victim, but that was the only information they were able to receive due to the severity of the victim's injuries.
He was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he is listed in critical, but stable condition.
Police said an arrest warrant is expected as soon as positive identification of the suspect is made.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
