Man in wig tried to rob Dunkin Donuts

MONROE, Conn. (CTPost.com)-- A man wearing a blonde wig attempted to rob the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 34 at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
A bystander reported to police that a man with a handgun was in the donut shop's parking lot, Capt. Michael Flick said.
When officers arrived they found that the suspect had attempted to hold up the business, but had fled on foot without getting any money, Flick said.
