Greenwich, Conn. (WTNH) - After a heated argument with his girlfriend, a man called police and told them he had killed her in an effort to get a faster response time.

19-year-old Henry Jara-Willamarin and his girlfriend got into a fight in the parking lot of Crumbs Bakery on Jan. 18.

Around 9:20 p.m., Jara-Willamarin called police and said that he had killed her. He then retracted this statement and stated that he didn't in fact kill her, but he wanted to.

When officers arrived at the scene, Jara-Willamarin further explained that after the argument, his girlfriend got into their car. He wanted her to get out, but when she refused, he called 911.

He admitted to police that he said he had killed her to expedite a response from authorities.

Jara-Willamarin was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident and falsely reporting an incident concerning serious injury or death.

He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
