WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) - One of three men arrested in the fatal shooting of a Waterbury teenager in 2010 has pleaded guilty to charges including felony murder.
The Republican-American reports that 29-year-old Vance Wilson faces 30 to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday in Waterbury Superior Court.
John "Jon Jon" Frazier was killed on his 17th birthday while walking home to make his mother's 10 p.m. curfew on Jan. 18, 2010.
Police say he was shot in the back while fleeing a robbery attempt by Wilson, 26-year-old Anthony Collymore and 22-year-old Rayshaun Bugg. It's not clear who fired the fatal shot.
Felony murder and other charges are pending against Collymore and Bugg.
Frazier's family says he attended a technical high school and wanted to become an electrician.
