Man sexually entices minor, arrest made

AVON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 24-year-old man was arrested for enticing a 15-year-old girl for sexual purposes.

On Thursday, police arrested Joseph Stinnett following an investigation by Avon's Digital Investigation Unit which started on Dec. 4, 2012.

Stinnett engaged in sexually explicit, unlawful chats with the 15-year-old girl. According to police, Stinnet had several conversations about traveling from Niantic to Avon to meet with the girl for sexual purposes.

Stinnett was arrested on warrant for criminal attempt at impairing the morals of a minor, criminal attempt at enticing a minor and obscenity.

Stinnett is in custody on a $100,000 bond and will appear in court on Jan. 11.
